Special issue in memory of Ivo Hodek
Ivo Hodek, the longest-serving editor of the European Journal of Entomology, died on June 11, 2021, shortly after his ninetieth birthday. He was an essential member of the staff of the journal for many years and his scientific reputation and numerous international contacts helped attract a wide scientific community to the EJE. Because of his exceptional merits, we decided to publish a virtual special issue of papers dedicated to his main areas of interest, the biology of coccinellids and aphidophaga in general and various aspects of insect life cycles and their regulation, dormancy, diapause, etc. The thirteen published papers and an editorial article briefly summarizing Ivo's life and scientific activities can be seen here.
